B-Body Double-Din Radio Installation Kit

If you have a 94-96 Caprice or Impala SS you realize there aren't many radio options available on the market for the stock size 1.5 DIN radio opening. With the plethora of double din options it made sense to make a kit to adapt a double din radio to the stock dashboard. Our kit will relocate the ac controls (down) and the radio (up).

What is a Double-Din Radio?

A double-DIN radio has twice as much height as a standard DIN radio, or 180 mm x 100 mm, or 7 x 4 inches. B-Body owners are upgrading to Double-Din radios offer features like CarPlay and Android Auto which is a huge upgrade for our old B-Body cars!

Allows for precise adjustment of your radio to get a flush mount
Provides ability to adjust depth in 1/16″ increments for the perfect fit

1/4″ Replacement ABS Faceplate

This will replace your existing radio surround
Dash plaque mounting location is perfectly centered
Attaches to the dash using the included epoxy
Apply your own texture, paint and go. (Best to do this after its epoxied in and then restore the entire radio area and AC vent facia.)

Overall for what it is I‚Äôm happy with the kit. However, the pre-cut holes located in the center of the Etchus kit‚Äôs plastic face/trim (where the ‚ÄúImpala SS‚Äù decal is supposed to be placed) were off-center in the WRONG direction. Meaning the Impala SS decal would only fit upside down. The only fix was to either drill new holes OR carefully peel the decal away from its clip and flip it 180¬∞. After doing the latter, made it work but it was very frustrating. Not sure if that‚Äôs the kit‚Äôs design or if my kit was made with an error.
